Melvin (Shorty) Hall, 73, Campbellsville, KY (1949-2023)

Mr. Melvin "Shorty" Kimble Hall of Campbellsville passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home. He was 73 years old.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Melvin "Shorty" Kimble Hall at 3pmET on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will be in the Taylor's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 1pmET until time for the service.


Son of the late Herman Hall and Connie Nelson Hall, he was born in Green County on May 5, 1949. He was self-employed, owning and operating "The Ol' Mule Concessions" and was also a distributor of Hyland Brand dog foods.

He leaves to mourn his passing:
  • His wife: Wanda Jane Price Hall of Campbellsville
  • Four daughters and three sons: Kim Hagan and husband Matt of Green County, Shannon Cook and husband Brian of Green County, Junior Beams of Summersville, Tammi Miller and husband Chris of Bowling Green, Tim Beams and wife Eda of Idaho, Tommy Beams and wife Shelly of Campbellsville, and Jemima Beams of Campbellsville.
  • A sister: Shirley Pierce and husband Kenny of Green County.
  • 16 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the funeral expense fund and those may be made at the funeral home.
