Barbara Jo Curry, 81, Green County, KY (1941-2023)

Barbara Jo Curry was born August 26, 1941, in Green County, KY to Oliver Franklin and Ortella Bishop. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, having attained the age of eighty-one years, five months and nineteen days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital for 20 plus years and also a Lake Cumberland District Development Caseworker. She was a member of the Greensburg Art Club. She was united in marriage July 21, 1962, to Bobby Gene Curry, who preceded her in death: November 5, 2007.



She is survived by one daughter: Jewell Akin of Frankfort, KY; one sister: Wanda Kerns of Campbellsville; sister-in-law: Linda Mitchell of Campbellsville; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Boyd and Jackie Curry and Dennis and Regina Curry of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Niki and Derek McKibben and Andrew Akin and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 4pmCT Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial will follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery in the Exie Community of Green County.

Ministers: Bro. Freddy Thompson, Tyler Tucker, Taylor Bishop.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Alzheimer's Association. These can be made at the funeral home.
