Benjamin S. Curry, 82, Shepherdsville, KY (1940-2023)

Benjamin Samuel Curry of Shepherdsville passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was 82 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, 605 South Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, 187 Deatsville Road, Shepherdsville, KY.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10amET until 8pmET, and will continue on Thursday from 9amET until the time of service.


Benjamin was a Baptist by faith and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of Shivley Masonic Lodge 951. He was an avid University of Kentucky fan. He loved deer hunting and deep-sea fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ausie "Rattler" and Ida Sinclair Curry; his sons Gregory, Brian, and Gerald Curry; his siblings Thelbert Curry, Gwen Curry and Nona Bess Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Imogene Curry; his siblings Doris Radford, Maggie Janes, Nell Curry and Clifton Curry; his grandchildren Josh, Taylor, Jacob, Noah, Benjamin, Gavin, Hunter, Dalton and Lexi; great grandchildren Michael, Emilie, Mason, Graydon, Paislee and Colton; his beloved dog Tex "The Boss".
