Eliza Creola Biggs, 85, Adair Co., KY native (1937-2023)

Eliza Creola (Cox) Biggs of Greensburg died on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville. She was 85 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lanny Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 5pmCT on Wednesday. The family requests that all attendees to the visitation and/or funeral wear a facial covering.

She was born February 1, 1937, in Adair County, to the late Pete and Nancy Elizabeth Tucker Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie James "Sock" Biggs, four brothers, James H. Cox, William Cox, Jay Cox and Norman Wesley Cox and four sisters, Myrtle Cox Bright, Flossie Cox Taylor, Edna Hampton Cox and Mary Alice Thompson.

Survivors include:
  • Her two children - Jeff Biggs (Pam Wilson) of Columbia, Jennifer Biggs (Barry Burton) of Russell Springs
  • One brother - Howard Cox of Louisville
  • Several other relatives and friends
