Swimming: LWC gears up for MSC Championships

The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming teams are set to compete at the Mid-South Conference Championship Thursday through Saturday, February 2-4, 2023, at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Along with the Blue Raiders, Bethel (TN), Campbellsville (KY), Cumberlands (KY), Indiana Wesleyan, Midway (KY), Pikeville (KY), Shawnee State (OH) and Tennessee Southern will all be competing for the championship.

Swimming begins at 8amCT on all three days with the preliminary heats followed by the final heats at 4:30pmCT on Thursday and Friday as Saturday takes place at 4pmCT.

The Blue Raider men's and women's teams concluded their regular season with victories over Campbellsville in the Battle of Highway 55. As it stands, the men's team holds the No. 6 ranking in the latest SwimCloud rankings, while the women have the No. 9 spot secured heading into the conference championship.

Last season, the Lindsey Wilson men's side finished second out of twelve teams at the conference championships and claimed fourteen All-MSC honors. As for the women, they slotted in at fourth out of twelve squads, picking up twelve All-MSC honors.
