Lawrence Cladus (L.C.) Pickett, 90, Adair Co., KY native (1932-2023)

Lawrence Cladus "L.C." Pickett of Edmonton died on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 8:55 A.M. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital Emergency Room in Glasgow. He ws 90 years old.

The funeral service will be held at NoonCT on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Thursday.


He was born December 10, 1932, in Adair County, to the late Felix and Vivian Pickett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Meadows Pickett and by his second wife, Janet Pickett, one son, Larry Pickett, one great-grandchild, Kali Pickett, six brothers, and four sisters.

L.C. was of the Baptist faith, retired from Sapp's Bakery and worked at Phillps 66 both in Columbus, Indiana.

Survivors include:
  • One son - James Tony Pickett and his wife Barbara of Edmonton
  • A daughter-in-law - Debbie Pickett of Columbus, Indiana
  • 10 grandchildren - Pete Pickett, Jamie Pickett, Joe Miller, Jeremy Pickett, Coleton Pickett, Amber Cox, Clint Pickett, Josh Pickett, Shelia Parker, Brandon Pickett
  • 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Casket Bearers: Pete Pickett, Jamie Pickett, Clint Pickett, Josh Pickett, Joe Miller, Coleton Pickett
