Annie (Rennie) Rankin, 76, Liberty, KY (1946-2023)

Annie "Rennie" Rankin of Liberty passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was 76 years old.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30pmET on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Otuma officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.

There will be visitation after 12:30pmET on Saturday at the Church.


Born September 11, 1946, in San Patricio County, TX, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Rankin and Isa Lou Serratt Rankin. Rennie was caregiver, a former florist, and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved painting and her grandchildren, who referred to her as Nana Nana Nana.

Survivors include her daughter, Christy Cochran Hill; sisters, Joann Titsworth, Sandra Jackson, and Rosie Dickinson; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Misty Lee Hill; brothers, Fred and Shine Rankin; and sisters, Patsy Rankin and Jeanie Balch.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are requested to help offset funeral expenses.
