Brenda Delores Matthews, 68, Campbellsville, KY (1954-2023) Mrs. Brenda Delores Matthews of Campbellsville departed this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 68 years old. She had requested cremation, and her ashes will be interred in the Brookside Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for Mrs. Brenda Delores Matthews will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 5pmET until 8pmET at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY. Mrs. Brenda Delores Matthews, formerly of Cave City, KY, was born in Louisville, KY on June 18, 1954 to the late Billy Dewayne Francisco and Ruth Mae (Matthews) Francisco. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Matthews was an employee with the Campbellsville Independent Schools through 2003, serving in the high school lunchroom. She enjoyed coloring and painting woodcrafts, and spending time with family. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Daryl Matthews of Campbellsville. She also leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter, Monica Bricken and husband Keith of Campbellsville. One grandson: Logan Bricken. One sister: Debbie Turner of Hodgenville. One Nephew and One Niece: Brad Turner and wife Beth, and Angie Morris and husband Mark. One brother-in-law Ronnie Matthews, and a host of other family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Kenneth and Ruth Matthews, and one brother-in-law Owen Turner. Memorial contributions are suggested to be donations to the Taylor County Animal Shelter. L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.lrpetty.com.
