Matthew Kane Franklin, 18, Campbellsville, KY (2004-2023) Mr. Matthew Kane Franklin of Campbellsville entered into eternity on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 18 years old. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Franklin at NoonET on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Steve Skaggs will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 20, from 5pmET until 8pmET. Matthew Kane Franklin, son of Michael and Misty Franklin, was born on July 9, 2004. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a 2022 graduate of Taylor County High School and was a proud employee of ABEL Construction in Louisville. He had recently began pursuing an apprenticeship in carpentry and was a member of Indiana Kentucky Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 175. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter and his equal love for people from all walks of life. It was said that Matt was "bigger than life, and with a heart like Jesus". He leaves to cherish his memory:
Serving as casketbearers are Connor Dishman, Bailey Butler, Justin Barrett, Zach Nelson, Auston Murrell, Chandler Franklin, and Devon Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the 2022 Taylor County High School football team, coaches, and staff. L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
