Ocie Key, 101, Cumberland County, KY (1921-2023) Ocie (Sharp) Key, of Sulphur Creek Road in Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 having attained the age of 101 years, 9 months and 20 days. She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Friday, March 18, 1921 the daughter of Leslie & Vina (Watson) Sharp. She was a wonderful homemaker, a fine Christian Lady, and was a member of The Church of Christ, Christian Chapel Congregation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Paul Key whom she wed on Saturday, December 23, 1939, he passed away November 25, 1997, also her brother, Clint Sharp, sisters, Grace Wyatt, Dixie Cary & Dantha Garner, grandson, Scott Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (& Stan) Humphries of Simpsonville, Kentucky, Pam (& Steve) Clark of Brentwood, Tennessee, Paula (& Kevin) Alford of Thomasville, Georgia, brothers, Clay Sharp of Burkesville, David (& Shirley) Sharp of Celina, Tennessee, half brother, Robin (& Carol) Sharp of Burkesville, Grandchildren, Julie (& Dan) Ford, Jason (& Susana) Humphries, Annie Alford, Brad (& Chelsea) Clark, & Logan Alford, Great-Grandchildren, Reagan Ford, Connor Ford, Abigail Humphries, Alicia Humphries & Silas Humphries, several Nieces, Nephews, & Friends also survive. The Funeral service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2pmCT in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Neil Tremblett officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Local WE CARE Organization or the American Cancer Society.
