South Central Kentucky Beekeeping School Feb 4 in Scottsville

From Allen County Beekeepers

The 19th annual South Central Kentucky Beekeeping School will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Allen County Scottsville High School, 1545 Veterans Hwy., Scottsville, KY. Registration will begin at 7:30amCT, and admission is $10 per individual or $15 per family.

This year's keynote speaker is Kamen Reynolds, co-founder of Hive Life Bee Conference. There will be an Arts and Crafts Show, bee equipment vendors, food vendors, door prizes and a raffle.


There will be classes for all levels of beekeepers, on topics including Getting Started in Beekeeping, Types of Equipment, Bee Hive Management, Plants for Honeybees, Diseases of Honeybees, Marking Bee Products, Equipment Assembly, Queen Rearing, , Making Splits, Cooking With Honey, Mead Making, Seasonal Hive Management, Honey Harvesting, and Commercial Beekeeping.
