J.O.Y. Ministries exceeds campaign goal!

From Hannah Peck

J.O.Y Ministries is extending a heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone who supported their Annual Christmas Campaign. "We cannot say THANK YOU enough," shares JOY Board Member, Krystal Cundiff. This year's fundraising goal of $45,000 was not only met but surpassed, bringing in $49,444.58!

In 2022 JOY opened Ruth's Place, a women & children's shelter and continued their operation of Cally's House and the JOY Crisis Resource Center. The expenses required to operate a multi-unit shelter and meeting the ever-growing needs of Adair County were cause for this ambitious goal.

In 2022, J.O.Y. provided over 3,000 food bags, provided shelter to 102 people, connected 163 homeless individuals with community resources, hosted summer camp and Mission Week, and provided over 100 Holiday meal boxes!

"We prayed for God to help us meet the needs of this community, and that prayer has been answered in a big way. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible. We are so grateful," shared J.O.Y. Vice President Hannah Peck.
