Genealogy and History Research Center has a good year By Mike Watson We at the Research Center strive to assist those who have an interest in local history and genealogy. We opened our doors on 23 April 2021 and celebrated with an official ribbon cutting event exactly one year later, in 2022. The calendar year 2022 was just as exciting as 2021, perhaps more so in some ways. We have had visitors and researchers from many states, many Kentucky counties, as well as local and regional friends. Several professional writers have used the resources here to produce articles, and books are now in print with more coming in the coming later this year and in 2024. Our collections continue to increase in scope and size with donations from many individuals, locally as well as from several states--including Maryland, Washington, D.C., Florida, Oklahoma, New York, and more. We keep records of our visitors and services. Here are the year-end statistics for 2022:
