CPD: Columbia man arrested for wanton endangerment

The Columbia Police Department responded to a residence on West Barbee Street on Wednesday night January 4, 2023.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that a male subject had fled the residence. Officers observed property damage throughout the residence and multiple victims gave officers statements regarding an altercation with them and the male subject.

The male was later located by officers behind FiveStar on Campbellsville Street HWY 55 North, where he was placed into custody without incident.


Marcus Yarberry, 27, of Columbia, is facing numerous charges including strangulation 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree and unlawful imprisonment 1st degree; all felonies.

Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Sgt Evan Burton.
