Urgent power request: TC RECC asking to reduce use

TC RECC Asking Customers To Conserve Electricity

Because of extreme cold temperatures, electric power consumption is approaching record levels. Taylor County RECC is asking consumers to voluntarily reduce the unnecessary use of electricity to alleviate the strain on the electric grid.

Some ways you can cut your power usage include:

Adjust your thermostat.

Shut off non-essential lighting and equipment

Avoid using appliances like dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers.

If you take these simple steps, it will help everybody.

Taylor County RECC is doing everything we can to keep the lights and heat on for all members. We appreciate your assistance in helping us avoid power outages due to too much strain on the grid.

This is from Larry J Smith the Big Dawg / and Ann Beard TC RECC
