JOY Ministries launches largest Christmas Campaign ever From Hannah Peck The J.O.Y Ministries Annual Christmas Campaign will be held throughout the month of December. Last year marked the largest campaign to date, but with growing needs J.O.Y is raising the bar once again. This year's campaign goal is J.O.Y's largest to date with hopes to raise $45,000! "The needs of our community continue to grow and we are called to meet those needs," says board member, Krystal Cundiff. "This year we were able to operate our new Women and Children's Shelter because of this community's generosity." Will you help JOY Ministries meet the needs of the Columbia Community? Donate today at Joy-ministries.org or at JOY MinistriesThe JOY Crisis Resource Center is located at 116 Public Square and is open Mon - Thurs from 11amCT - 5pmCT and Friday 11amCT - 3pmCT. Thank you so much for supporting this ministry in its efforts to bring JOY to those in crisis in the Columbia community! In 2022, J.O.Y. has assisted 239 homeless individuals and 95 of those were housed at one of J.O.Y.'s two shelters. J.O.Y. has conducted their need-meeting ministry for over 10 years and each year their reach extends. J.O.Y. continues the operation of the Crisis Resource Center, which acts as an easily accessible location for clothing and food provision, utility/rent assistance, and references to community resources for those in need. Additionally, J.O.Y. operates Cally's House (est. 2019), a single-family homeless shelter, and Ruth's Place Women's & Children's Center (est. 2022), a five-unit facility which serves as an emergency and transitional homeless shelter. J.O.Y's ministry is only made possible through the generosity of this community. "We are believing that GREAT things will happen during this Christmas season," shares J.O.Y. Vice President, Hannah Peck. "Taking on a second shelter was a huge financial undertaking, but we continue to be in awe of the support this community offers. God is working through Columbia.."
