Ernestine Parton, 75, Campbellsville, KY (1947-2022) Ernestine Norton Parton of Campbellsville passed away on Sunday, November 20th, 2022. She was 75 years old. The family has chosen cremation, and all services will be held privately. Burial will follow in the Rice Cemetery in Marshall, North Carolina. Ernestine Norton Parton, daughter of the late Winford Norton and Lavada Rice Norton Grooms, was born August 20th, 1947 in Asheville, NC. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She had been employed in the nursing field and enjoyed serving in the nursing home. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jasper Parton, her sister: Iva Capps of North Carolina, and one Great Grandson: Tristen Whiteside. Survivors include one daughter: Marsha Whiteside and husband Junior of North Carolina, three brothers: Herschel Dewayne Ramsey and wife Rebecca of Campbellsville, KY, David Ramsey and Stevie Ramsey both of North Carolina. One brother: Troy Grooms and wife Pat, Geneva Dockery and husband Phil, Shirley Shelton, and Iva Capps all of North Carolina Ten grandchildren: Nicholas Fisher and wife Leah, Heather Fisher and husband Terry, Hannah Lezama and husband Felipe, Dakota Whiteside and wife Elizabeth, Tyler Ramsey and wife Heather, Dylan Ramsey, Christian Ramsey, Jesse Ramsey, Cole Ramsey and James Ramsey and a host of other relatives and friends.
