Johnnie Ray Patton, 75, Dunnville, KY (1947-2022)

Johnnie Ray Patton of Dunnville passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at his home. He was 75 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with John Sparr and Barry Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11amET to 2pmET on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.


Born on August 12, 1947, in Dunnville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late John Welby and Francis Maxine Salle Patton. Johnnie was a retired truck driver for Tarter Gate. He was the pastor at Rheber 206 Pentecostal Church for twenty-eight years. He loved his church family and he loved preaching God's word. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and had a love for children.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Lee Patton, who he wed on June 27, 1970; a brother, James (Faye) Patton of Liberty; and a sister, Imogene (Donnie) Hiter of Athens, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Patton; and two sisters, Geraldine Asberry and Rose Merilene Coffman.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Moberly, Aaron Moberly, John Sparr, Herman Lee, Billy Hewitt, and Stevie Lee.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
