Basketball: Blue Raiders to challenge Murray State in exhibition Following a successful weekend at the Brady Button Memorial Classic, the Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team is due back on the hardwood on Saturday, November 12, 2022, when they compete in an exhibition contest against the Racers of Murray State University. Saturday will be the first all-time meeting between Murray State and Lindsey Wilson, and is scheduled as the first of three exhibitions for the Blue Raiders this season. Fans can watch the active live on ESPN+. Tip-off from Murray, Kentucky is slated for 7pmCT. Members of the Missouri Valley Conference, the Racers enter this weekend on the heels of a 91-68 loss to Saint Louis University on Monday. The match-up with the Blue Raiders will serve as Murray State's home opener, something the Racers have not lost since 2014. Versus Saint Louis, four of the team's five starters made their first-ever appearance in the navy and gold. In fact, 12 of 14 players that suited up earlier in the week are newcomers to the program. Two of those names, Jamari Smith and Rob Perry, paced the Racers in scoring with 19 and 14 points, respectively. Lindsey Wilson is led into battle by Elijah Jordan. The senior set career-highs in scoring on consecutive nights a week ago, and is averaging 24.3 points per game as a result, which actively stands as the second-best mark in the Mid-South Conference. Mark Edmond sits atop the Blue Raider line-up with team-highs in both rebounds, 26, and steals, four. He is flanked by Rodney Lewis' 11 assists. This story was posted on 2022-11-12 09:10:06
