Robert (Rabbit) Hare, 40, Russell Springs, KY (1981-2022) Robert "Rabbit" Hare of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Russell County Hospital. He was 40 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 11amCT on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Casey Baker officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT on Monday, until time for funeral services. Robert was born December 2, 1981, to David and Betty Popplewell Hare, the second baby ever born in Russell County Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in Baghdad at the fall of Suddam Hussein. Robert attended Liberty Baptist Church. He loved to go fishing and loved camping. He is survived by his parents, David and Betty Hare; his wife, Heather Carr, of Russell Springs; his sons, Stephan Hare, of Somerset, Nicholas Hare and Braydon Hare, both of Russell Springs; his daughter, Alyssa Hare, of Somerset; his step-children, Kolby Burton and Jacklyn Burton, both of Russell Springs; his brother, Brandon (and Samantha) Hare, of Russell Springs; his sister, Shanda Hare, of Russell Springs; his paternal grandmother, Wanna B. Wilson, of Russell Springs; and his maternal grandfather, Bob Popplewell, of Russell Springs. Robert is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, A.B. Hare; and his maternal grandmother, Rose Popplewell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bernard Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
