Betty Bennett, 74, Columbia, KY native (1948-2022) Betty Bennett of Glasgow passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her residence. She was 74 years old. The funeral service for Mrs. Bennett will be held at 11amCT on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 East Washington St., Glasgow, KY. Burial will follow in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 11amCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. She was born February 29, 1948 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Richard Smith and Frances Dial Smith. Betty was a self-employed childcare provider and attended Glasgow Wesleyan Church. Survivors include her daughter, Shannon Garcia (Manuel) of Glasgow; one grandson, whom she adored, Cody Lucas of Glasgow; one adopted daughter, Catherine Sanders (Ron); eleven sisters, Katherine Bennett, Alice Robinson (Denny), Barbara Smith, Clara Rodgers (Arvist), all of Indiana, Sandy Antle, Ruby Antle (Jerry), Margaret Harden (David), Ruth Smith, all of Columbia, Shirley Mings (Jesse) of Mannsville, Nancy Bennett (Junior), Mary Bennett (Donald), both of Glasgow; and her caregivers, Jane Goodwin and Becky Poynter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester Bennett and one brother, Robert Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at morrisfamilyservices.com.
