Geraldine Grant, 90, Columbia, KY (1932-2022)

Geraldine (Davidson) Grant of Columbia died on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 11:45 A.M. at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was 90 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Columbia Church of Christ, 501 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Martin and Bro. Doug Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is requested on Tuesday after 4pmCT, and on Wednesday after 7amCT, at Columbia Church of Christ.


She was born February 4, 1932, in Celina, Tennessee, to the late Lester G. and Mary Lura Watson Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Davidson and a grandson, Ryan Grant.

She was a loving Christian mother, a long-time member of Columbia Church of Christ and retired from the Adair County School System. She is remembered for working in the lunchroom at John Adair Elementary School.

Survivors include:
  • Four children - Linda Kessler (Edward) of Portland, David Grant (Vanessa Flinchum) of Campbellsville, Patsy Melton (Bill) of Lexington, Ann Martin (Steve) of Columbia
  • Six grandchildren - Eddie Kessler (Tiffany), Kevin Kessler (Arlinda), Tim Kessler, Dr. Leah Perkins (Jeremiah), Lori Martin-Smith (Matt), Dr. Ross Martin (Leigh Ann)
  • 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild
  • Several other relatives and friends
Casket Bearers will be her grandchildren
