William Earl Milby, 77, Summersville, KY (1945-2022)

William Earl Milby of Summersville passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was 77 years old.

The funeral will be held at 10amCT on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Greg Whitlow, Bro. Robert Knight, Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. The family requests masks to be worn at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Green County Memory Garden, Summersville, KY, with full military honors by the Marion County Honor Guard.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT to 8pmCT on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Saturday until the funeral hour.


William Earl Milby was born August 14, 1945, in Green County, KY., to the late Elsie Louise Foster Milby and William Creed Milby.

He is survived by his wife Mae Lobb Milby of the Summersville community, three daughters: Stacy McNear and her husband Marty, Brooke Benningfield, and her husband Ben all of Campbellsville, KY and Kim Lobb of Greensburg, KY. One sister and one brother: Renea Hancock and her husband Claudie of Greensburg, KY., and Stan Milby and his wife Susan of Salisbury, North Carolina, three grandchildren: Kaden McNear, Isabella Benningfield and Luke Benningfield, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

He made a profession of faith in Christ and was of Cumberland Presbyterian faith. He served his country proudly in the Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, Summersville Fire Department and VFW.

Expressions of sympathy made be made to the Gideons for bibles or to St. Jude Children's Hospital. These can be made at the funeral home.
