Doyle Kelson Bishop , son of the late Acy Bishop and Etna Davis Bishop, was born on Sunday, May 5, 1929 in Green County and on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at his earthly home, he departed to his heavenly home. He was 93 years, 5 months, and 18 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. He held many roles in his lifetime. He was proud of his work at the American Needlecraft. In 1954, he started Bishop Cabinet Shop, which remained in operation until 2020. Over the course of his many years in the cabinet shop as owner/operator, he had many wonderful "shop hands" that were like family. He also had many wonderful customers and contractors and was honored to have set cabinets all over the State of Kentucky. His work ethic and dedication also could be found on the farm. He loved raising cattle, having a garden and mowing hay. His greatest love was that of a helper/provider. During his daughter, LaTonya's time on earth, he made sure to provide her with everything she needed in order to allow her the best possible care and opportunities. Before she became ill, they traveled all over the country and this was some of his greatest memories. He was also passionate about memorial flowers for graves. He would travel to other counties to ensure a friend or family member had memorial flowers. He served on the cemetery board at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church for over 50 years until the time of his passing. He leaves a legacy of love and hard work. He was also a 50 year member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM

He united in marriage to Orvenice Davis on December 22, 1945. After 66 years of marriage, she was called home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2012.
