Jeff Wilson, 59, Russell Springs, KY (1963-2022)

Jeff Wilson of Russell Springs passed from this life on Friday, October 22, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 59 years old.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pmCT on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3944 Highway 92, Russell Springs, KY, with Brother Bodie Emerson and Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5pmCT to 9pmCT on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY. A second visitation will be held from 9amCT until time of services on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.


Born June 8, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Lois Beane Wilson. Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for five years. He was the owner and operator of Pegasus Towing for over 22 years. Jeff was a faithful servant of God, serving at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher and in any other capacity he could be of service. Jeff was a loving husband to his wife, Patsy, Dad to his children, "Pa" to his grandkids, and a friend to all. He was a hard worker and never turned down a home cooked meal. Jeff was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He also loved his dogs, old cars, and trading knives.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patsy Elliott of Russell Springs; one son, Adam (and Lindsey) Wilson of Mackville; two daughters, Lindsey Wilson (and Chad) Gosser and Kambyr Blake Wilson, both of Russell Springs; one stepdaughter, Miranda (and Michael) Roy of Russell Springs; five grandchildren, Gabriel Browning, Baylor Michael Roy, Linleigh Roy, Adalynn Wilson, and Aiken Wilson. Jeff is also survived by his mother-in-law, Audrey Spivey of Russell Springs; one brother-in-law, Robert (and Gabriele) Spivey of Russell Springs; and one sister-in-law, Lana (and Richard) Foley, of Russell Springs.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Wilson; and one sister, Gertrude Wilson.

Pallbearers are Mitchell Richards, Robby Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, Phillip Oaks, David Johnson, Roger Campbell, Junior Malone, and Willard Owens.

Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Gaskins, Timmy McQueary, Doug Devine, Carl Mings, Alan Gosser, Rod Spivey, Richard Foley, Darrell Crowe, Larry Proffitt, Jimmy Proffitt, Gary Guzicki, Joe Jezisek, David Thomas, Bryan Hale, Larry Coppage, Barry Miller, John Walton, Jeff Lynn, Richard Stephens, David Dudgen, Nikki King, Wesley King, Glenn Ferrari, and Toddy Nolley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Gideon's International or to the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Fund c/o Orvis Grider, 67 Glory Lane, Columbia, KY 42728.
