Photo by Robert Ellis selected for 2023 Kentucky Living Calendar

Local photographer Robert Ellis' photo "Blowing Bubbles," which he captured outside his Adair County home, has been selected for publication in Kentucky Living's 2023 Photo Contest Calendar. This year's Kentucky Living photo contest had over 2,800 submissions.

This news continues a well-deserved run of statewide exposure for Robert's work. Another photo of his was featured in the 2021 Kentucky Living Calendar (Miss August: Kentucky Living 2021 Calendar).

In addition, one of his photos was featured by Kentucky Living magazine with an article by Kentucky Electric Cooperatives President and CEO Chris Perry. Perry said of that Ellis photo, A Brighter Day, "Of the 2,460 submissions in Kentucky Living's 2021 Photo Contest, this one by Taylor RECC consumer-member Robert Ellis captures my sentiments this year."

You can purchase a copy of the Kentucky Living 2023 Calendar for just $9.95, which includes shipping and handling, from www.kentuckyliving.com. The 2023 calendars will ship in December, and Robert says that "Blowing Bubbles" will be displayed for the month of June, 2023.

Blowing Bubbles

2022-09-30 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking.
This photo by local photographer Robert Ellis has been selected for publication in Kentucky Living's 2023 Photo Contest Calendar.

Robert writes, "Every year when the water lilies bloom, I'm usually mowing the lawn and make a mental note to grab the camera when I'm done and attempt to get a decent photo of them... in their glory. This pic I was rewarded with one of the goldfish making a debut and staying afloat at the surface long enough to get this shot. The blowing bubbles by the fish was an added bonus."

Calendars are available for $9.95, which includes shipping and handling, from www.kentuckyliving.com.
