Jason Alan Jones, 69, Campbellsville, KY (1953-2022)

Jason Alan Jones of Campbellsville departed from this earthly life on September 23, 2022. He was 69 years old.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11amET on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, Kentucky. A fellowship meal will be held at Campbellsville First United Methodist Church, 317 East Main Street, Campbellsville following the service.

Visitation will begin at 9amET on October 22.

Jason was born March 22, 1953, in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Milton and Geraldine Jones. He was a graduate of Taylor County High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Jason professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as the worship pianist for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milton and brother, Paul.

Jason recently retired from his lifelong passion as a dairyman, however, he remained active tending a garden, raising heifers, chickens, bees, and crops amid assisting as caregiver for his mother. Jason was a member of the Kentucky Holstein Cattle Club, Green River Beekeepers and a financial supporter of the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Jason will always be remembered for his generosity to the Bengal community and beyond. He visited regularly with those in the neighborhood, delivering fresh produce from the garden, baked goods, eggs and honey. He wouldn't go a day without checking on the wellbeing of extended family, friends and peers.

Jason is survived by his mother Geraldine and sister Sharon Harris (Brian) of Campbellsville, Nieces Carly Davis of Nashville and Sara Kwak (Meong) of Philadelphia, PA. Nephew, Benjamin Harris-Medina (Elizabeth) of Lexington, KY. and "brothers in life" Tim, Neil and Ryan, along with a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and friends who were blessed by their time with him.

Honorary Pallbearers are Barry Blevins, Mary Bauer-Dauenhauer, Neil Hooper, Tim Hooper, Jane Ransdell and Ryan Shofner.

The family requests expressions of sympathy in form of Gideons Bibles or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Those may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home or at www.stjude.org/donate.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at parrottramsey.com.
