David Ray Moore Sr, 63, Taylor County, KY (1959-2022)

David Ray Moore, Sr. of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of Sharon Tucker Moore and the late Donald S. Moore, Sr., was born on Saturday, April 11, 1959 and departed this life on Monday, September 19, 2022 at his home. He was 63 years, five months, and eight days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church. He was the former owner and operator of Sun Country Pools from 1996 until 2018 and was also a former Med-Tech for 15 years. He was a veteran having served in the United State Army as a MP from 1982-1984.



Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jill Davis Moore of Campbellsville, a native of Green County.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: David Jr. and Kelsie Moore of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a daughter and son-in-law: Samantha and Jesse McPherson of Marysville, Indiana; five grandchildren: Trey Moore, Harper Moore, Amelia Moore, Hazel McPherson, and Tucker McPherson; a brother and sister-in-law: Mark Anthony Sr. and Sonia Moore of Texas; sisters-in-law: Teresa Howard and Carolyn Davis; special friend: Connie Hansford; travel buddies: Steve and Patti Phillips; and a host of other relatives and friends.

David was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: Donald Moore, Jr. and Joyce Moore.

The funeral services for David Ray Moore, Sr. will be conducted at 12noonCT Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fry Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. L.A. "Fella" Wilson officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4-8 Thursday and after 7 Friday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Fry Cemetery Fund or Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
