Golf: LWC Women take fourth at The Players Invitational Yorktown, IN - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team moved up one position during the final round of The Players Invitational to finish in fourth place. LWC posted a 902 (310-300-292) across the three rounds of play. The event was being held at The Players Club, a par-72, 5,963-yard design. Katie Biddlecombe led the charge for Lindsey Wilson after firing a final round of three-under, 69, which matched the low round of the day. She carded a 219 (76-74-69) to finish in fifth place. Claire McLaughlin played her best round of the tournament during her final 18-holes, finishing with 70 strokes and two under. McLaughlin posted a 223 (76-77-70) and climbed the leaderboard ten spots to a tie for 10th. Hannah Sumner finished in 18th place. She finished her weekend with a 228 (78-72-78). Zofia Wojcik took 30th place with a 236 (80-81-75) as Paige Gray finished in 44th place after a 245 (86-77-82). Megan Mann competed as an individual, turning in a 37th-place finish. She scored a 238 (80-78-80). Shayne Lim of Taylor (Ind.) took home the individual title with a 214 (73-72-69). She was the only golfer to finish the event under par. Indiana Wesleyan won the team title with an 884 (292-291-301). Lindsey Wilson returns to play on Sept. 19-20 when they compete at the William Carey Collegiate at Canebrake Golf Club.
