CU to host president of the SBC Pastors Conference By Lexy Horton Campbellsville, KY - Dr. Daniel Dickard, president of the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference, will speak twice during the inauguration of Campbellsville University's President Dr. Joseph Hopkins. Dickard will speak at the university's regular chapel service at 10amET on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hopkins Ave., Campbellsville. Dickard will also speak at a community worship service at 6:30pmET on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Ransdell Chapel. Both services are free and open to the public. All chapels are televised on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15), streamed on Campbellsville University's Facebook page and can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGOyyKyrGBpSx8-uXa4NRtw In his role as president of the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference, Dickard's focus is on expository preaching, intercessory prayer and the Great Commission, and his aim is to see churches grow in health and strength. Dickard has been serving as lead pastor of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, N.C. since 2018. He is a two-time graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, receiving his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). While at Southwestern, he served as dean of students and instructor of preaching. He is the author of a book titled "Church Together: The Church of We in the Age of Me," published Jan. 13, 2022.
