Adair man arrested after theft investigation

Adair County Sheriffs Office arrested Christopher Helm 39 of Columbia after a lengthy investigation. He was arrested after Deputy Tracy McCarol secured an indictment for arrest stemming from a theft.

The theft occurred at a farm located off Milltown Road church where a fuel pump valued at 1,800 was stolen out of a barn on the property.



The pump was located by the Sheriffs Office and returned to the owner undamaged.

Helm was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:

- Theft by unlawful taking over 1,000 but under 10,000

- Burglary 3rd degree

Deputy McCarol was assisted by Deputy Gary Roy and Sheriff Brockman
