Video: Becoming an ISP Host Family

By Anna Peterson

The video above, created by Mercy Peterson, gives some information about being an ISP Host Family. ISP is always grateful for the community support of our program and the international students. One of the best ways to support the students year-round is to sign up to be a Host Family!

Host families DO NOT provide housing for the students. Instead, host families provide a friendship and a support system here in America to make the transition to and time in the U.S. a little bit easier. The fall semester (and the dozens of new students that it brings) is quickly approaching and ISP is currently asking for new families to join the program and help create a friendly, comforting, home-away-from-home atmosphere here at LWC for each international student.

For those interested in more information about this program, you can contact ISP at isp@lindsey.edu. If you would prefer to speak with one of our host parents, to hear about their experience, ISP can put you in touch with some of our veteran host parents who love to share their experiences with you and answer any concerns or questions you might have.
