Third annual Paint The Town will be July 27-29

From Tiffany Collins

The City of Columbia is happy to announce their third annual "Paint The Town" event coming up July 27-29, with all artwork to be completed by the weekend of July 30. "We encourage everyone to come to this community event for our town. We look forward to seeing everyone on the square," said Mayor Pamela Hoots.

If you and/or your organization would like to participate, please call City Hall at 270-384-2501. Talk with Tiffany Collins or Sydney Strange. The city also encourages children to participate.

You will need to leave your name and number. If you are calling for an organization, please let them know; as well as the number of participants so than they may schedule an appropriate portion of sidewalk for your group.

The local arts council also plans on participating in this year's event. Be watching for more details. The city currently has approximately fifteen entries for the event.
