David Morris Yates, 74, Russell County, KY (1947-2022) David Morris Yates, age 74, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, June 12 2022 at his residence. He was the son of Gladys Gorsick Yates, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Linda Yates of Russell Springs, KY 1 Daughter: Angela Huckelby, spouse Kevin, of Russell Springs KY 2 Sons: Chris Yates, spouse Leslie, of Russell Springs KY. Matthew Yates, of Russell Springs KY. 3 Brothers: Johnny Yates, of Sebring FL; James Yates, of Knoxville, TN; and Earl Junior Yates, of Shepherdsville, KY. He is also survived 8 grandchildren, Jacob Yates, Braxton Browning, Ryan Yates, Hannah Yates, Nathaniel Huckelby, Ethan Birge, Elliott Birge and Autumn Huckelby and 3 great-grandchildren, Damien Browning, Bella Yates and Payeton Bell also survive. He was a retired factory worker at Bruss North America, Veteran of the US Air Force and member of Royville Friendship Church. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Rita Ernspiker, Marie Paul and Anita Dobson and one granddaughter, Kinley Browning. Pallbearers were: Ryan Yates, Nathan Huckelby, Ethan Birge, Elliott Birge, Autumn Huckelby and Scott Paul. Honorary pallbearers were, Damien Browning, Bella Yates, Payeton Bell, Jacob Yates, Braxton Browning and Greg May. Funeral services will be 10amCT Wednesday, June 15 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 5-9pmCT Tuesday, June 14 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
