Jimmy Russell, 68, Green County, KY (1953-2022)

James Terry "Jimmy" Russell of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Woodson Russell and Sybil Hodges Milby Russell, was born on Monday, July 13, 1953 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2022 at his home. He was 68 years, 10 months, and 21 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a farmer.



Survived by his wife of 51 years, Audrey Sue Durrett Russell of Green County having united in marriage on May 7, 1971.

Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jason and Teresa Russell, and Chris Russell all of Summersville; a daughter and son-in-law: Anessa and Glenn Decker of Hardin County; seven grandchildren: Bethany and Daniel Judd, Nicholas Russell and his fiance, Skye Moss, Lydia Russell, Isaac Childress, Logan Russell, Alice Russell all of Summersville, and Dustin Childress of Hardin County; a great-grandchild: Lillie Judd; a brother and five sisters: Woody Russell of Arizona, Peggy Marr, Linda Bradbury both of Hardin County, Joyce Russell of Bowling Green, Mary Milby and Sarah Smith both of Summersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Jimmy Russell will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Greg Whitlow and Bro. Alan Durrett officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 - 8pmCT Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7am Tuesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.
