Henry Colman (Hank) Risen, Taylor County, KY

Henry Colman "Hank" Risen of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late James Lee Risen and Dora Ella Rayburn Risen, was born on Thursday, January 23, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home. He was 75 years, 3 months, and 28 days of age.

He was a veteran and retired from the United States Air Force after 35 years of service. He lived a full life.


He did everything that he ever wanted to do. He saw everything that he ever wanted to see. He went everywhere that he ever wanted to go. He had everything that he ever wanted. He had many friends; two best friends. He had many loves; one true love. He lived a full life.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Lynn Wuopio Risen; siblings: Everett Risen, Morris Risen, Wilma Johnson, Lilly Mae Carter and Mary Helen Dile.

Survivors include two sons: Henry Colman Risen, Jr. of Washington, and Charles Lee Risen of the Virgin Islands; two step-grandchildren; two brothers: Woodson Risen of Greensburg, and William Risen of Washington; a sister: Liz Matney of Greensburg; a special niece and caretaker: Shannon Price of Michigan; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen. No formal services or visitation at this time. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, Greensburg in charge of the arrangements.
