Proclamation: Nursing Home Week

The week of May 8 through May 14, 2022, has been proclaimed as "Nursing Home Week," in Columbia, Kentucky, as the result of a proclamation issued by Mayor Pamela Hoots.

The proclamation has been designated to recognize the essential roles of skilled nursing care centers. As a part of the proclamation, the Mayor would like to recognize the importance of Signature Healthcare-Summit Manor to our community.

The Proclamation reads:


Nursing Home Week May 8-14, 2022 Columbia, Kentucky
  • Whereas, the 2022 theme has been designated to recognize the essential roles of skilled nursing care centers;
  • Whereas, the City of Columbia would like to recognize the importance of Summit Manor-Signature Healthcare in our community;
  • Whereas, we would like to honor all the employees at the local nursing home;
  • Whereas, we salute their staff and the skills they provide to our community;
  • Therefore, be it ordained that May 8-14, 2022, has been recognized as National Skilled Nursing Care Week in Columbia, Kentucky.

May 8-14 proclaimed Nursing Home Week in Columbia

The week of May 8 through May 14, 2022, has been proclaimed as "Nursing Home Week," in Columbia, Kentucky, as the result of a proclamation issued by Mayor Pamela Hoots. In the signing of the proclamation with Mayor Pamela Hoots are Summit Manor employees Deb Smith, Misty Sewell, Dana Helm, Jamie Turner, Lana Roy, and Latasha Harden; as well as elders Eula Moss, Rose Willis, and Rebecca Melton.
