Elmer Ray Brown, 91, Liberty, KY (1931-2022)

Elmer Ray Brown of Bowman Trail in Liberty passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Liberty Care Center. He was 91 years old.

Funeral services will be held at NoonET on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Clifton Cowan officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey County Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Casey County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 11amET until time of services on Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Born April 7, 1931, in Casey Co., KY, he was a son of the late Gillen and Nancy Byrd Brown. Elmer was an auto mechanic and body shop worker. He was a member of the Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church. Elmer was a Sergeant and platoon leader in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his sister, Rose Cravens of Bardstown; 4 children and a host of grandchildren also survive.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clyde and Herman Brown; and sister, Orine Richardson.
