Irene Elizabeth Bibb Webb, 104, Greensburg, KY (1917-2022)

Irene Elizabeth Bibb Webb of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was 104 years old.

There will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Bibb Webb on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Ladies Chapel Cemetery in Green County with Rev. Wilburn Bonta officiating.


Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Bibb Webb, the only child of the late Mr. Robert E. Bibb and Mrs. Ora E. Davenport Bibb, was born on Tuesday, October 2, 1917 in Green County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She attended Greensburg High School and graduated on Friday, May 15, 1936. One of her favorite things in life was spending time in the yard growing roses and many other kinds of flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She had a passion of loving and helping all animals especially cats.

She united in marriage to Mr. James A. Webb on Friday, February 26, 1938, who preceded her in death on Monday, July 3, 2006. They were happily married for 68 years.

Mrs. Webb is survived by two sons and a daughter: Larry and Janice Webb of Glasgow, Darryl and Judy Webb of Metamora, Illinois, and Barbara Antonini of Springfield, Illinois; seven grandchildren: Susan Cross of Nashville, Tennessee, Steve Webb of Glasgow, Sheri Pendry of Richmond, Michigan, Lisa Vogel of Metamora, Illinois, Shelly Taylor of Metamora, Illinois, Tom Antonini of Springfield, Illinois, and Mike Antonini of Post Falls, Idaho; nine great-grandchildren: Leah and Alyssa Cross, Maggie and Mollie Webb, Kelsey and Justin Pendry, Eric and Alex Fike, and Sean Taylor.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Lifebridge for Animals, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Larry Webb, Darryl Webb, Earl Lane Judd, Steve Webb, Tom Antonini, Travis Pendry, Mike Antonini.
