Upcoming dates and deadlines for the 2022 Primary

  • Saturday, April 2, 2022: Online mail-in absentee request portal will open (45 days before the election) at elect.ky.gov, for those who meet requirements for absentee voting.

  • Monday April 18, 2022: Last day to register to vote for the primary. (If you change your party you will not be eligible to vote in the May primary) the deadline to change party was December 31, 2021. Go online at Elect.Ky.Gov or https://vrsws.sos.ky.gov/ovrweb to check your voter registration status or to register to vote. You may also come into the office during our normal business hours.

  • Tuesday, May 3, 2022: The online mail-in absentee request portal will close (14 days before the election) at 11:59pmET. Request for mail-in absentee ballots, either through the online portal or by calling our local office ends on this date.

  • Tuesday, May 17, 2022: 2022 Kentucky Primary Election: We will have 3 days of Early Voting, and all 16 precincts will be open on Election Day. The dates, location and times for the 3 days of Early Voting will be forthcoming.

The Adair County Clerk's Office is open Monday through Friday from 8amCT to 4pmCT, at 424 Public Square, Ste 3, Columbia KY.
