Dave L. Johnston is July Chamber Board Member of the Month Each month the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce introduces us to one of its fifteen board members. This month we meet Dave Johnston, President and CEO of the new United Citizens Bank of Southern Kentucky (UCB) which was chartered December 6, 2004. He has had over 35 years of experience in the fields of financial and customer service management. His began as operations manager of Litchfield Deposit Bank in his hometown. He has worked in Elizabethtown, Campbellsburg and was recruited to UCB in Columbia from the Bank of Jamestown where he was CEO for eight years. Johnston has been an active volunteer in each location: in the Russell County Chamber of Commerce as President and Board Member for seven years, Charter Board Member of the Russell County Kiwannis Club in addition to many other clubs and organization. He helped originate Russell County Crimestoppers. In addition to his activities in the Chamber, he is also a member of Pinewood Country Club. He has three children: Charles who lives in San Francisco; Elizabeth and Meredith in Louisville. Dave can be reached by email at davej@ucbsky.com or at 384-2265.
