Elwood Hoskins, 87, Casey County, KY (1934-2022) Elwood Hoskins, 87, husband of Susan Elliott Hoskins passed away March 10, 2022. Born November 15, 1934 in Casey County, he was the son of Elmer and Rudell Allen Hoskins. He was a farmer and owner of Riverside Angus Farm. Not only did he raise and sell Angus cattle across the country, he also grew tobacco and produce as well. Elwood and his daughters showed cattle in local, state, and national competitions. He was a member of the Central Kentucky Angus Association, the Kentucky Angus Association, and the American Angus Association. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 from the Kentucky Angus Association. Elwood also served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of First Christian Church in Liberty, KY. In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Mary Frances (Randall) Durham, and Mandy (Andy) Wesley, four grandchildren Maranda (Ben) Barlow, Sarah Durham, Jackie (Jordan) Spagnoletti, Hanna (Baylen) Hill, three great-grandchildren Connor and Mollee Spagnoletti, and River Barlow, one brother Garland (Dale) Hoskins, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Jerry Hoskins, sister Hilda Masden, and one great-grandchild Tynlee Spagnoletti. Visitation will be held 6-9pmET Monday March 14th, 2022, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1pmET Tuesday March 15, 2022 at the funeral home Chapel. Pastor Josh Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Middleburg Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Christian Church, P.O.
