EDA showcases Industrial Park for state representatives By Gale Cowan, Adair Co. Judge Executive The Lake Cumberland Area Development District was asked to present 3 properties for an Economic Development Initiative before Governor Beshear, the Department for Local Government, and the Kentucky Department of Economic Development on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The Columbia/Adair County Industrial Park was one of those properties. Thank you to Bobby Morrison, Adair County EDA Chairman, Lake Cumberland Area Development Chairperson Sharon Payne, Director Waylon Wright, and staff members Fara Popplewell-Miniard, and Lyndsey Brown for all of their time, hard work, and dedication to helping get our presentation ready. Special thanks also to our entire EDA Board. They have worked tirelessly for the past 2-3 years making improvements to our park. We had a great day and got our property recognized as "shovel-ready for industry." Other properties presented were from Russell and Pulaski Counties. This story was posted on 2022-03-03 10:02:29
