Baseball: LWC falls to No. 7 Indiana Southeast By Kyle Jackson Lindsey Wilson baseball dropped its second straight game of the season on Wednesday afternoon, falling to No. 7-ranked Indiana Southeast 16-2 in seven innings at Egnew Park. The Grenadiers (6-6) scored in each of its first five innings to pick up its sixth straight win. Lindsey Wilson managed just six hits in the game while the Blue Raider pitching surrendered 13 hits and issued 10 walks. Six different Blue Raiders recorded a hit in the game, including Jordan Blick and Lucas Bault -- who also ended the game with an RBI in the loss. Brandon Watts suffered the loss on the mound, allowing four runs on four hits over 1-1/3 innings of work. He was one of six Blue Raider pitchers on the afternoon. Bailey Turner closed out the game, throwing two scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out one. IU-Southeast jumped out to an 8-0 lead through 3-1/2 innings. Lindsey Wilson cut into the deficit with a two-run fourth inning, but would not dent the scoreboard the rest of the game. The two runs are a season-low for the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson's six hits are tied for the second-lowest output of the season. Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Friday and Saturday for a Mid-South Conference weekend series with Thomas More (KY) at Egnew Park, Lindsey Wilson Sports Complex, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY.
