CPD: Trafficking arrest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department On Sunday, February 20, 2022, the Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Burksville Street shortly before 10pmCT. After making contact with driver, subject denied request to search vehicle. K9 Unit Cally was utilized, and alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search yielded suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. The driver was taken into custody. Paul Downs, 35, of Jamestown, has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance methamphetamine and traffic violations. Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer Justin Cross as well as the Adair County Sheriff's Office. This story was posted on 2022-02-21 07:44:09
