CPD: Middle school student faces multiple charges By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department School Resource Officers responded and investigated an incident which occurred Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2022 at Adair County Middle School. A 13 year old male juvenile attacked another male student unprovoked with a pocket knife he had in his possession. Juvenile victim did sustain non-life threatening injuries and defensive wounds. The student perpetrator was detained and housed locally at Adair Youth Development Center and is currently facing numerous charges including unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, assault 2nd degree, and attempted murder. Officer Jimmy Luttrell was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer John Harris. This story was posted on 2022-01-26 10:57:17
