Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6pmCT to 7amCT Mike Keltner, Director of Adair County Emergency Management, sends updated information from this afternoons briefing on the next wave of winter weather. The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Central Kentucky, including Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties, from 6pmCT on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, until 7amCT on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Widespread rain is expected to develop ahead of a cold front today. As the front passes through the region, colder air behind the front will transition the rain over to snow and possibly a wintry mix. Minor snow accumulations will be possible tonight into early Thursday morning, and could make travel difficult at times. Untreated roads may be icy and snow covered on Thursday morning across much of southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Use caution if traveling. This story was posted on 2022-01-19 15:03:43
