Richard (Ricky) Blythe, Sr., 68, Liberty, KY (1953-2022) Richard "Ricky" Blythe, Sr., of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home. He was 68 years old. Graveside services will be held at 11amET on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with Bro. Reggie Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. There will be no visitation. Born August 9, 1953, in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late James and Mary Ann Kiaser Blythe. Ricky was a US Army veteran. He was a UK sports fan and a jokester. Ricky was a Baptist and he studied his bible daily. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Connie Lawson Blythe; daughters, Becky (and Luke) Goforth, Missy Skinner, and Melissa (and Randy) Alsup; brother, Jimmy (and Teresa) Blythe; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Richard Blythe, II; brother, Ray Mooney; and sister, Lisa Moberg. Memorial contributions are suggested to help offset funeral costs.
