Runell Parke, 91, of Campbellsville, KY passed away on the 7th day of January 2022. Runell, who was born in Metcalfe County, started her career as a teacher in Louisville public schools and then later retired from Taylor County. She enjoyed farming, gardening and her many cats. She was also known for planting and caring for numerous trees on their property.

She was preceded in death by her parents Odie and Bertha Boston, son Clifford Parke (Joyce), and sister Ruby Estes.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James Shelby Parke, sister Marcella Love (Adrie), brother Lloyd Boston (Frances), daughters Jenene Bledsoe (Clark) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, and Pattie Doyle (Ray) of Marietta, Georgia; four grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Because of Covid concerns, the burial services at Missionary Mound Cemetery in Edmonton, Kentucky, will be limited to immediate family with a celebration of her life scheduled at some time in the future.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus Health of Green River or your favorite charity.
