Orvis Joe Kean of Russell Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Russell County Hospital Emergency Room. He was 66 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Johnny Crew officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack Lawless Cemetery in Russell County. Visitation is requested after 10amCT on Sunday.

Orvis Joe Kean was born January 10, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Orvis Clyde and Ruby Pearl Collins Kean. Joe attended Russell Springs Gospel Tabernacle.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Dorslen Keith Kean of Russell Springs
  • Eight children - Jason Knoad of Louisville, Joseph Kean of Russell Springs, Robert Kean of Columbia, Edwin Kean of Jamestown, Wayne Murrell of Columbia, Crystal Murrell of Russell Springs, Kevin Murrell of Jamestown, Keith Murrell of Russell Springs
  • One brother - Orvis James Kean of Lexington
  • 15 grandchildren
  • Several other relatives and friends
